Going,
Going, Gone. Impacts of Land Fragmentation on Texas Agriculture and Wildlife.
A Summary
Study from American Farmland Trust, Texas Regional Office

This publication compliments
the Texas Rural Lands publication and brings to light alternative strategies
for dealing with Texas Land Fragmentaiton. The report examines how effective
a purchase of development rights program may be in stemming the tide of
land fragmentation in Texas. This document summarizes some of the findings
of that report by discussing the effects of land fragmentation on our
citizens, wildlife, farming, ranching and water supplies. It also outlines
recommendations made by American Farmland Trust with an eye toward conserving
